Special Events (7/21/2010) Under the direction of our In-House Trustee, special programs and events are scheduled throughout the year to enhance our curriculum. Some of the all-time favorites include: the Quiver Farms Egg Hatching Program, The Philadelphia Zoo's Little Zoo on Wheels, Sue Collins' Instrumental Music Program, and a visit from the staff of Newtown Dentistry for Kids. We also participate in National Fire Prevention Week with the help of our friends at the Upper Makefield Fire Department, and proclaim our own "Safe Kids Weeks" in May, again with the help of our local police force. In addition, we celebrate several month-long, school-wide themes including Good Health, Good Nutrition, and We Love to Read. The culmination of our "Month of the Young Child" observance in April is probably the most popular day at CCNS - Junior Olympic Day - a wonderful, red, white and blue extravaganza highlighting our amazing gym program. We are also pleased to once again welcome back Mr. Pete Maggitti, our Music Specialist, who offers fun and lively music classes throughout the year. << Back to Main See all news items >>
